Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Toqen service in a clear and transparent manner.
TL;DR
- The Toqen service must be used lawfully and in accordance with its intended purpose.
- Partners remain responsible for their own platforms, content, and compliance obligations.
- The service is provided with reasonable care, without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Service Usage
Toqen provides access and authentication mechanisms, including QR-based access, one-time verification codes, email-based verification, access passes, and OpenID Connect (OIDC) flows. These mechanisms may be integrated into third-party services or used to control access to protected resources.
- The service must be used in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- The service must not be used for unlawful activities, abuse, fraud, spam, or any actions intended to compromise security or service integrity.
- Attempts to circumvent technical limitations, access controls, usage limits, or security mechanisms are prohibited.
- Toqen may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where a material breach of these Terms is reasonably identified.
Launch Partner Program
Participation in the Launch Partner program is voluntary. Participants may choose to provide certain information, such as a name, logo or photo, contact details, or public links, for program-related communication or public display. Any such information may be updated, restricted, or removed upon request, in accordance with applicable policies and data protection requirements.
Liability and Third-Party Services
Toqen provides access and authentication mechanisms only and does not control, operate, or endorse third-party websites, applications, or services that integrate the Toqen service. Partners remain solely responsible for the operation, content, security, and legal compliance of their own platforms.
Reasonable measures are taken to maintain the availability and reliability of the service. However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, security measures, or circumstances beyond Toqen’s reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Toqen shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.
Payments, subscriptions, refunds, and other billing-related matters are processed by designated payment service providers and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.
Privacy and Cookies
The processing of personal data in connection with the use of the service is governed by the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Data Processing Addendum (DPA).
The service does not use marketing or analytics cookies. Any cookies in use are limited to those strictly necessary for core service functionality, as described in the Cookies Policy.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service, applicable law, or operational practices. Updated versions will be published on this page. Where required by law, material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of the EU member state in which the relevant partner or user is established, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law.
